About Me

I've been drawing and painting for longer than I can remember. I culminated an art focused education with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993. At that point in my life I fully expected to be on the east coast pursuing a career in fine arts. However, I found myself drawn to the west coast for what was supposed to be a few months of rock climbing and skiing in California while I applied for a University teaching job. Sixteen years later I haven't left and I've long ago exchanged oil paint for pixels.

I became involved with internet related design and production just as the commercial World Wide Web was in its infancy. I worked on some of the very first websites for large corporations in both the automotive and banking industries. Not long after plunging in to internet related design I also turned my attention to print design and illustration work. It wasn't long before I somehow convinced myself that I could build my own graphic design business. Thanks to wonderful clients it's been a success!

I like to think that as a capable graphic designer I can adjust my stylistic approach at will to fit the needs of any given client or project. That said, my own bias will always influence my designs to some degree. I tend to embrace a precise and architectural approach to design. I enjoy juxtaposing minimalist space with seductive details.

I work and live in San Rafael, California with my lovely wife Elisa, gorgeous daughters Zoe and Mia and four legged friends Enzo and Deuce.
